Here's a bit from Men.Style.com about our favorite dogs.

Quote:
February 26, 2007—Streetwear companies have long excelled at inciting hysteria among the limited edition–obsessed, but in the high-fashion arena, no one does it better than Colette. To celebrate its tenth birthday, the Paris boutique famous for collaborations with everyone from Dior to Damien Hirst is offering its most drool-worthy crop of co-branded items yet (not to mention a guest-curated show of emerging artists and a celeb-packed fete at La Scala). The stars of the celebration are Cap and Pep, the two dogs that make up Colette's logo, and who'll chase each other across limited runs of Cartier watches, Lacoste sneakers, and sweaters by the cashmere auteur Lucien Pellat-Finet, as well as a handful of bow ties by young French designer Alexis Mabille, whose work has lately been spotted adorning the neck of Karl Lagerfeld.

The icing on the birthday cake, though, is a line of Lacoste polos, (above), featuring 14 different canine vs. croc configurations, to be released one at a time over the first two weeks of March. And, unlike most of Colette's offerings, if you miss them this time around, you'll actually get a second chance: They'll be for sale again in conjunction with a special Cap and Pep exhibition in April at the Tokyo store Isetan Shinjuku. Provided, of course, there are any left.

Colette, 213 rue Saint-Honoré, Paris, 33 (0)1 55 35 33 90, www.colette.fr
