For some designers, a simple piece of nice quality thick card will suffice but for others, requesting the presence of a guest is serious business and they will be damn sure to make their invites memorable. This season, there has been another round of keepsakes to keep as souvenirs. Ann Demeulemeester made a teensy tiny blank book the size of a thimble for people with their seat allocation written inside. Yohji Yamamoto provided a handy black folded piece of cloth for emergency ketchup stain removal operations. Stella McCartney sent out toy loudspeakers for people to play around with and warp their voices. Tasteful thick card was replaced with etched perspex at Dries Van Noten. Maison Martin Margiela show goers large silver tags for their 20th anniversary show. A selected few at Lanvin were gifted grosgain ribbon earrings decorated with gems and jewels, a reminder of the explosive latter half of the show. Prettiest invite award has to go to Kenzo though who sent out a beautifully illustrated notebook with a flower and butterfly pop-up in the centre and even a multicoloured pencil to scribble away in it. Finally, the scariest invite has to be Alexander McQueen's skull/Lee McQueen lenticular which the fashion team played around with at the entrance of the show here:
