^^that's one of those "why didn't i think of that?!" sorts of things.. very cool!

especially for those of us with many interests...
you could even have several images on each clip board..
guests could lift up the sheets to look through the images..

surprisingly artsy i think...

has anyone made their own frames? I'm wanting to frame an art print (about 32x23) somehow.. I'd rather not glue it but if it comes to that I may.

^ just based on prices ..I can't find the perfect one, and custom fit may be pricey. The mat board is a good idea though.. thank you!

Has anyone tried adhesive putty to mount things on the wall .. or inside a frame..?
I'm indecisive and like to move my things around all the time

staples.ca

I used to use them as a kid.. I think maybe they left a colour stain on the wall and on my poster/paper
Or that they create a sort of dent in the poster... and that they were hard to remove from the poster
I really wouldn't want to wreck these pictures I have

I think it's nice it's at least reusable...

that looks like a product we have here called blu tac.. only problem is what you mentioned gius - it leaves a stain on the wall and often even peels the paint off when you go to remove it.

frames in erin wasson's apartment.. so cool

those are some neat tacks he has in the first pic, on the right the children from India

hum.. it's a good idea
it's like those little edges you put in photo albums, and you just slot the photo in... no gluing & easily removable
perhaps i'll try that

i'd make a lot of holes though with my many small pics...

thanks for the nice pics, adorefaith
& also in the Inspiration boards thread !

i LOVE the clip board idea. That is so creative! I might try it over my desk to switch up sketches/inspiration all the time. i've never thought of that before

I avoid adhesives for the very reasons you listed!

To preserve pictures / posters and still be able to afford to hang them, I purchase the 'poster frames' that are 2 pieces of very thin plexiglass with black removable edges. They are sold in places such as "Michaels Craft Stores" or larger discount stores. If your picture / poster is not a standard size to achieve an exact fit, then displaying in a larger size frame gives the artwork a 'floating' effect.

/\ This is what I was referencing - the black frame is actually 4 separate pieces of plastic edging that remove and fit back on again to form a precisely fitted 'frame' - the plexi-glass sheets, when you purchase this 'frame' are covered with protective layers of plastic film to protect it from scratching. They remove easily to reveal a very clean sheet of plexi-glass.

This type of frame permits one to use and reuse the frame as one's taste in art might change. Also, this frame manages to hide flaws on the print, such as creases or tiny tears.

The Michael's site indicated that the frames come in sizes from 18"X24" to 24"X36".

Hope this helps!
