For some reason they're only getting around to putting Ikeas in Ireland. I'll probably wait about 3 years to visit, for fear of being trampled...

Ikea is great.

I think 90% of my apt is from ikea..
The only thing I hate is that regardless of those fun arrows on the floor that tell you where to go, I somehow always get lost!!

The only thing I worry about is 1. putting the furniture together.. and most importantly, 2. how the hell do i take it apart when I go to move?... ah, screw it.. just move it in once piece.

That's what I did. It was hard enought to put together the first time around...nevermind round two now that i have thrown out the instructions!

I adore Ikea!! I was so upset to find out that when I moved to FL there is no Ikea here...but I recently found out that a new one is being built 5 miles from my house! I will be there with bells on!

My tv stand, coffee table, bed & armoire in my spare bedroom are all from Ikea.

Cosmo, I agree those directions are just terrible. I moved all of my stuff in one peice too.

^ It was the only way to go. I just told the moving men to be ultra careful.

that's such a clever idea!

i might have to steal that idea from you because I'm really not liking my current jewelry storage setup and have been trying to think of something that will look cool without taking up too much space on my dresser

I actually do the same thing but with a mini dress form (that did not come from ikea though...). I found a pretty one at TJ Max or something like that.

My bed is from Ikea, I've been really happy with it for the most part. I just want it a bit higher. (Don't mind the sheets as curtains, this was taken when I first moved in and had to keep the peeping tom's out )

I think this chair I bought from someone is from ikea too. I'm not sure.

Is there a thread devoted to your apartment/home? I'm obsessed with mine Just wrote about it in my blog, decorating is fun!

I have quite a bit of IKEA stuff, we went shopping there when we first moved into our current house but the nearest one is 40 minutes away, so we don't go often.

My computer desk is from there, it's that $100 corner desk. I'm scared about moving it when I have to move out in the next couple years. I also have some decor and it's good stuff especially for the price. I know that they have tax-free weekends a couple times a year, and I know someone who works at one who says that people literally climb the walls then.
