my flatmate has those jars in the first picture and i can't stand them! that stupid handle on the lid means you can't stack them or put anything on top of them, it drives me loopy
i hate going to ikea, it's way too stressful and far away, but some of the stuff like rugs and things is ok. my parents have a small ikea rug in their guest bathroom that cost something like £1 because they figured it'll get puked on anyway
I have SO much stuff from there.. it's just crazy.. mattress, bed, bed sheets, pillows, pillow covers, computer desk, lamp, curtains, cd rack, towels, vase, paper basket, tv stand, night table, mirror, framed picture of a bridge.. and probably more stuff I'm forgetting.
I really like their style, the only pain is putting the stuff together -- the cd rack alone took my dad and I nearly an hour; the instructions were completely useless.

i might have to steal that idea from you because I'm really not liking my current jewelry storage setup and have been trying to think of something that will look cool without taking up too much space on my dresser
steal away!
feel free to post a picture if you end up doing it....
i'd like to see how it works out for you....
Ikea is so addicting.
my hubby HAS to go with me now!
because I will buy something because of the price....
and figure it out where it can be used later....
i buy all of my hand towels from there....and lots of other things...
such a lovely store!

I love IKEA too, my previous bed is from there Unfortunately there isn't any nearer than 120 kilometres so if I wanna shop I have to travel quite a lot
oh, i love the vases, Ida how much were they?
I must say, I just love IKEA... as much as i love huge supermarkets.. whenever i go in there i just have the urge to buy pretty much everything.. (yes, i'm a compulsive shopper! )
the Ikea store is pure EVIL..I always go in w/ the intention to just "look around", only to leave w/ a bunch of stuff that I really dont need in the first place, and, like, $100 poorer.
Sort of off topic--but has anyone ever tried the hard Swedish candy they sell at Ikea? And the hot dogs are really good...
Not the candy but I always get the hotdogs after I've paid for everything! .. Very nice and SO cheap! .. the queue is always so long though!!!!!
I can spend hours in Ikea, my bed is from Ikea, my light ( a long, tube, papery one), three of the tables in my bedroom is Ikea, a little three drawer unit to be put paper in, and two larger drawer units which I really really love and want to get a third one now... I love them so much I blogged about it when I got my first one! : http://nuvonova.blogspot.com/2008/04/organisation.html
...and also, this thread has reminded me that there is an Ikea sale going on right now!!
