i remember his work caught my eye looking through some old design books
it was his odd chair made completely out of crochet doilies...

you see stiffened doilies all the time here, but not one as stiff and strong enough to support a sitting human being.. so it was an anomaly for me

but i read lately that it is coated with a synthetic resin to make it very hard. i think
Marni creates jewellery out of that
another one i liked was his knotted chair
again i was surprised it could support a person
i think it's a special material for the rope
