Thank you all for such overwhelming compliments... Im really greatful for such lovely words and all the encouragement... and Im a little bit embarrassed.... never been good at receiving compliments... Im better when I hear my sister going at me "why do you always draw nude women.. You portray women as objects... your women radiate a mixture of erotic and lifelessness...etc..."... then we go on for hours discussing... object/subject discourses, pornography, women as sexual beings/subjects/objects... in highly intellectual manners, which you have to do when you are discussing with my sister... its very fun and amusing...

Model Mom and Boho Babe... Yes.. to get hold of an agent.. or just some advice to get exhibitios Is what I need to get further with my drawings...

Francesca... yes.. Egon schiele its funny you mentioned him.. He is my everlasting passion( have to mention Francis Bacon here also)... I have never done any fashion sketching, so yes It could be interesting, but I have always been fascinated with the female body, its quality and expressions.. maybe it comes from my work as a dancer...

Hanne.. yes I will be posting some more... but a couple of them I think one of you Mods. should might have a look at becasue they are maybe to explicit for posting here..

Thanks again to you all for the kind words and karma... Model Mom, BoHo Babe, Francesca, Hanne, fab fifties file, Sanrio and Royal-Galliano(who by the way has a little "Picasso" hidden in him... love your drawings... kind of surreal and cubist..)

thank you for sharing, multitudes. you really have talent and i admire your sense for detail. my favourite is the self portrait, i remember i wanted to ask you what it was when you still had it as an avatar.... i like how it's so full of expression but at the same time looks like an ornament. it reminds me of this man ray portrait of lee miller in a way...

Aaaahhh Estella... I love that Man Ray portrait of Lee Miller... thank you for that.... the selportrait I initialy did to silence my sisters voice "why do you only draw women?.. It would be interesting to see how you would draw a man..."... Im getting more into it now.. investigating one self... a little selfobsession... Estella do you have any selfportraits to share?... I think its interesting to see how we presents and view ourselfs through art... i love Egon Schieles selfportraits... I would love to see if you have done selfportraits...

Your work is really gorgeous, Multitudes... do you draw from life? Would you tell us about your techniques a little, if they're not trade secrets?

Thank you FinalFashion... no there are no trade secrets ... Yes I mostly do from live models, I have done some of dancers where I had do them from photos... For the technique.. Live I do sketches of the model.. I outline the figure, the details and the variation in light/shadow... I then take the sketches home.. where I work on them using what you might call a cross hatching technique...with pencils(H-9... nearly the whole figure consist of small squares which is more or less visible.... So I start the "Hatching" horisontical, then vertical and then on the two diagonals... which will make a square...
I dont know if this make sense...

I was wondering about that silvery look... I take it the pencils you use have very hard leads. It's fascinating how you have achieved such a sense of aliveness from what sounds like a very labour intensive technique... thanks for sharing you have tremendous skill.

The Silvery look might have to do with the photo... I use a mixture of soft and hard pencils(H-9.. to get the variation in light/shadow.... and yes it is a very labour intensive technique... sometimes I wish i have never discovered to do the drawings like this .. because they can take up to a week to do...
I blame this on my sister who back then adviced me two shade instead of just doing lines...

Thanks again FinalFashion and you are most welcome.. any time!

i proudly present tfs art gallery, featuring Multitudes and hopefully multitudes of other members' work soon...

since this is the art & illustration forum we figured it would only be fair not reduce the member work posted to fashion illustrations....

looking forward to all your work
