Does anyone actually know what she does for a living besides being in a band?
i think the more appropriate question is what does her father or mother do for a living..
because they are OBVIOUSLY well connected if she got an internship with mario testino while still in high school...

that doesn't happen by pure luck...
and they are obviously loaded cause she is wearing a vintage alaia dress which costs a pretty penny - could be borrowed from her mum...
buyt she def did not pay for that thing on a normal 18 yr old allowance...

...

wings---i agree....
this girl was obviously born with advantages most people don't have...
it's not really fair to compare...
nothing she has was really earned...it was just given to her...
which is fine..and she is lucky...

but it's not particularly admirable...imo...

^ Agreed. She is cute but she looks like every other hipster to me. Nice eye for photography, though.

Style is style whether you're poor or rich, black or white or anything in between ( ). Yes, Harley has an advantage in that her family are well-connected but why is that a reason to hate? If you're into photography and have the opportunity to intern with Testino, are you seriously going to turn that down? And likewise, if you're Testino, are you seriously going to let someone intern with you who has no interest in photography, has no talent and no enthusiasm for the job? I don't think he would stand for that crap, regardless of how rich or how close he is to her parents!

But envy is a very ugly trait

It just makes me laugh....if I started this thread and said this is Hayley, she's 18, her mum is a crack whore, she never knew her father, works at mcdonalds and only wears clothes she finds out of skips is that going to make her more worthy of style appreciation?!

Pictures of Hayley from her prom. I love the lace dress she's wearing..

I have to say, she's a lot more interesting to look at than fellew Cobrasnake photographee... She's beautiful, has an interesting since of style, and doesn't look messed up all the time.

1Karina1, do you know this girl? So worked up! As with everything, some people will be impressed and others won't be impressed. No need to throw around the 'envy' card and devise defense statements in her honor. Chill! I highly doubt that this girl cares either way, tbh.

These Cobrasnake/scene/myspace girls all sort of merge into one for me, Im afraid. They all seem to be rich daddy girls who don't do anything except photograph themselves in "ironic" outfits. It started out as cute at first but it's a bit tiresome when you see the 'nth girl wearing a vintage dress and big 80's glasses hanging off the arm of some very beardy bloke.

I tend to agree with you laisla - i really do not care for ironic dressing but i think out of a blur this girls stands out much more so than people like cory or leigh.

I wasn't directing that comment at you..but people have said some harsh things on here about Harley..I'm not worked up but I've got a sense of humour.
It's just that it seems a bit silly to judge someone based on their background and not simply on their style, which is ultimately what the thread is for; to discuss and appreciate style not to tear someone to pieces because they may have a more advantageous lifestyle than others. Is that so wrong?
