thank god you posted this one bc i really want to know where they found that first group of people...NO one i know dresses like that first group...but that second group is a lot more indicative (distressed jeans, "it" bags for both boys and girls, and realistic color) it's all about that mixing of high (balenciaga, chanel, marc jacobs) with low (h&m, club monaco, urban outfitters). my favorites were the girl with the gold sandals and yellow balenciaga bag and the guy with the jack spade bag...it's like i know them.

Yes, I saw this today as well and agree it is a much better indication of the good taste NYers are capable of. The tow girls at the Chelsea flea market is my favorite because the ability to put all those vintage pieces together to make such cute, stylish ensembles is very cool. I like the outfits of the first couple, but it kind of looks like they are trying desperately hard to be hip.
