Name: Stoney Age: 911 From: New York Location: Tompkins Square Park Are you most afraid of vampires or werewolves? I’m most afraid of women; so many have tried to shoot me after a few years. But werewolves or vampires? They are all the same. Everyone knows that. Which of the 7 deadly sins are you most guilty of? There are 8 sins and 11 commandments. Don’t read the first 10 of those! Which celebrity do you feel is undeserving of their fame? Bush! We call him “Killer Bush” around here.
Name: Ian Age: 19 From: Staten Island
Location: Soho Are you more afraid of vampires or werewolves? I am most afraid of werewolves. The reason being that I’m not too fond of large dogs and being bitten. Given my fears and fiction’s take on the werewolf, not quite my cup of tea! Which of the 7 deadly sins are most guilty of? I think I’d have to go with gluttony. I love food and I can really never get enough. I eat even if I’m not hungry; I eat other people’s food, even if it’s their last. Yeah, I’m just noticing how serious my greed is too, but it’s really just with food! LOL. Which celebrity do you feel is undeserving of their fame? I’m almost afraid of this question. I think any celebrity without a purpose, gaining status from walking through parties, photo-ops, being kept in VIP, and rehab shouldn’t be the reason one is famous. Now if you were doing all these things and had an album or movie out, that would be a different story. People like Kim Kardashian, but I do think she’s a cool chick. She just seems too normal for all the hype.
Name: Teresa Age: I don’t want to reveal my age From: Venezuela Location: St. Marks Are you more afraid of vampires or werewolves?
Vampires, because they fly and bite. Which of the 7 deadly sins are you most guilty of?
Pride, because I just am. Which celebrity do you feel is undeserving of their fame?
I would say that everyone deserves the attention that they receive.
Name: Arnaud Jean Baptist Age: 23 From: NY Location: East Village Are you more afraid of vampires or werewolves? Werewolves. I think vampires have a sexy appeal to them. I mean who wants to be called a dog? Which of the 7 deadly sins are you most guilty of?
Envy, as much as I hate to admit it. More in terms of relationships though. Which celebrity do you feel is undeserving of their fame?
Paris Hilton. She looks like anyone else, the only difference is that she has money.
Name: Sahar Age: 29 From: Afghanistan Location: St. Marks
Are you more afraid of vampires or werewolves?
Werewolves, because they have more hair. Which of the 7 deadly sins are most guilty of?
Lust, because whether its little or big things, I find that I get enraptured over them. Which celebrity do you feel is undeserving of their fame?
I don’t think that fame is such a bing thing. They deserve it either way. I really don’t think about it much.
What a great summer weekend I just had…on Saturday I kicked it old school at the Village Voice Siren Music Festival at Coney Island. The weather was nice and hot (I like hot weather) and lots of cool kids took the train out from the LES, Williamsburg, Bushwick, and yes, even New Jersey. Apparently some bands played as well but I didn’t pay attention because the line-up this year was the wackness. There were lots of cuties with great summer outfits cruising the boardwalk and hanging on the beach however, so that’s where we spent most of our time. Then on Sunday I took the high speed ferry to Sandy Hook, NJ and had a full-on beach day. Sandy Hook is an amazing barrier island with a nature preserve that sits at the mouth of New York Harbor - it also has the oldest lighthouse in the United States.
Speaking of old, the Coney Island amusement park area has been around for ages - the Wonder Wheel ferris wheel was built in 1918, for example. While the three most famous rides have Landmark status and cannot be touched, much of the land that the other rides and concessions sit on has recently been sold and may soon be going through massive changes. It’s barely changed at all in the 10 years that I’ve been in NYC…but if you want to see it in all its funky glory, this summer may be your last chance to do so. The airbrush artists, carnival games, haunted houses, hot dog stands, pina colada vendors, and t-shirt stalls - this may all soon be swept away in favor of chain restaurants and shops. Then all we will have left are our photos and our memories and we’ll sound really old when we talk about how cool it used to be.
I have never worn a straw or Panama hat but the idea is really growing on me.
Personally I don't think I would wear it with a suit but with a linen shirt and shorts it could work very nicely for me.
Since you guys probably know more about it than I, what should I be looking for?

I love this hat I saw at Piombo in Portofino.

10 Corso Como has a great selection of men's hats right now.
I might check out Jay Kos here in NYC
Wow, that's really hard to tell if it's a woman or a man... the legs could be more male...
Anyway I like the hat, glasses and shoes, not fond of the rest of the outfit.

The women's accessories business is huge because of the impact the right bag or sunglasses can have on a total look.
We don't often hear/notice that same impact in menswear.
Well, here is a great example of a few small accessories having a major impact on a look and totally changing the perception of that look.
By simply adding a silver cuff, highly stylized sandals and a dramatic hair style; this gentleman has taken a basically preppy look and turned it on it's head.
Of course the proportions of the polo and the rolled shorts also impact the look but the first thing i noticed were his accessories.
