I'm studying abroad in Madrid next semester which I'm really excited about but I obviously can not pack that much so I was wondering if anyone from Madrid or who goes there a lot could tell me what people wear? I mean I live in NYC so it's not like I'm coming from a small town or anything but, and not to sound stupid but I just want to see if people wear the same kind of stuff there? Or is there anything I should avoid bringing/wearing as to not appear as an obvious outsider? Just like here in new york I can lots of times pick out the tourists because of what they're wearing I was wondering what tourist wear in Madrid so I can make sure not to do that!

Just be yourself, I live in madrid I could give you that information, but I think that changing your personal way to dress It is not a good business. Anyway if you wear an "I'm with a band" look It's a perfect camouflage in college.
Well, I think you don't look strange in madrid...but you can chek out this sites, "neo2" is a trend fashion magazine make in madrid, and "lecool" is a online magazine about madrid's culture (concerts, restaurants, art.....)
Maybe are interesting for know about madrid young people...
