Ok, this might seem quite superficial, but even though I enjoy the fashion industry very much and don't expect only money coming out of it, I still think about how much does a designer like Pilati, Ghesquière or Bailey earn a month? And what about their high qualified staff?
The average designer from what I hear makes around 50K a year. Designers like Ghesquiere and such I imagine make millions. Just depends on how successful your designs are...

Cannot find much about high end, salaried designers ... this is the closest I found. Nothing about those high end designers who work for themselves ... who own their own business. But I'd be willing to be the very successfull ones make way more than this .... with everything they usually dabble in.
it really depends... I read somewhere that when Tom Ford left Gucci/Yves St Laurent he got himself a 8-9 figure pay out.. but then again, I have a feeling he was on contract, and he was also creative director for gucci at least, and acting on the board.. that, and the fact they are massive companies..
