Hi everyone! New member here and I'm from Malaysia. I'm here to ask a few questions about fashion design courses and it would be much appreciated if you guys can give me some opinions and recommendations.

First of all, I'm really interested in learning about fashion design and accessories design. I have spent a few months researching on the internet before writing here about the courses offered in universities (mostly from the US, London, Milan and Paris). I found that most universities offers fashion and accessories design courses separately.

My question is, are there any institutions that offer both fashion design & accessories design in one course (both short courses and degrees) and teach them with equal attention? It seems that if there is accessories design in the fashion design course, it is only offered as a minor. Thanks for your time and sorry for the lengthy explanation

I odn't know if there is such a thing as just courses for accessories or not ... I have not heard of any, but that does not mean anything. Maybe it's sometimes just part of a general design curriculim.

But I found this thread for you ... an article about accessories designing and it looks like perhaps designers just sort of move into it without specific training. I did not read this in detail ... but perhaps there's some helpful information in the article.

as i was browsing though and searching malaysia, bumped into your thread.
you might wanna look into fine art courses.
that's what my friend did

and i believe that there are in fact courses specifically for jewellery designing.
