New York Designers vs Los Angeles Designers

Hello all, this is my first post so I'd like to apologize if this is in some way an incorrect way of do so. Now that I have that out of the way....

I'm getting ready to graduate from a fashion design school in six months and am currently working on my senior collection/thesis. Along with that, I am preparing myself for an internship my school requires to graduate.

I'm constantly doing research on potential designers that I'd like to intern for. Right now, I have it broken down into two categories. New York Designers and Los Angeles Designers.

My list is as follows:

New York:

Duckie Brown
Fremont
Generra
GIlded Age
John Varvatos
Michael Bastian
Obedient Sons
Rag and Bone
Robert Geller
Steven Alan
The Cast

L.A.:

Cassette
Corpus
Cosa Nostra
Endovanera
G-Star
Mike and Chris
Modern Amusement

I was wondering if anyone would like to share any smaller design houses on either coast to expand my list. I would like to start at a smaller company as apposed to a Marc Jacobs where there are 20 interns for the summer. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
