shame! I never noticed this topic before! I am a huge grace kelly fan. she is definitely one of my very favourite hollywood icons, ever. she had such an amazing style and, well, grace, about her. I also find it quite cool that she was very demure and feminine, but underneath it she as quite a driven, determined woman. her style was just fantastic too - always tasteful and refined, and extremely beautiful.

She was beautiful, but the dress code of the late 40's and 50's up to the mid 60's was very graceful and ladylike. NOT A HAIR OUT OF PLACE. Perfect tailoring. Gloves. Restrained accessories. High heels. A proper bra (okay, a bit stiff). Both Kelly and Hepburn had angelic faces, but they dressed like true women (see the very first picture ) and the contrast is beautiful. I have pictures of my mother in balls during the late 50's and all women looked like movie stars!
