I remember they had a Search for a Supermodel show on CTV about 4 years ago and the girl that won wasn't that great, but there was a really beautiful girl that made the top 4 or 5. I hope we get quality contestants....

Shouldn't it be ages 14-19 or something. Ugh. Nobody starts past 20 in the business anymore. This isn't the 90's though I wish it was.

I remember that show. Wasn't there a 6'something girl on it? Maybe her name was Michelle but maybe I'm making it up haha.

I hope that this Canadian version won't just be a supercheap knockoff. Too bad I'm a few months too young to enter... I think I'd rather take the proper open call/agency route though in the end, not some reality tv show.

CNTM is being filmed in Victoria What an odd choice in contrast to Toronto, since Toronto actually has a fashion scene and well, Victoria doesn't.

There was a Britain's Next Top Model (http://www.livingtv.co.uk/model/), which I've heard was terrible.

Don't remember her name, but she was the tallest by far, really thin, with almost black hair. I think she was a Vancouver girl.

I imagine we will see alot of Kelly Streit, but I wonder who the other judges will be.

Very weird that it is in Victoria though.

maybe because they'll move to Toronto in the halfway mark?? I expect a lot from this show though I'm looking forward to it, see what Canada has in store and I hope it's better than ANTM.

I couldn't agree with you more about instead of the reality-TV route, just going for open calls w/ agencies. It seems that the latter is the approach that's ultimately more successful. High fashion executives don't seem take the reality-TV route all that seriously...

And I'm just as confused about Victoria. I'd understand if they took a trip there for a shoot, or something, as it's very beautiful, but Victoria over Toronto or Montreal? Please...

canuck modelia you do have a point! They definitely need to be in Toronto at some point, I think... Perhaps you're right. I'm curious to see how it all goes.

They all look boring....besides, Canada doesn't really need a Next Top Model. Half the modeling world is from Canada these days

Tricia used to be so pretty. Now she looks..... not.

What if she turns out to be like Tyra bent on world domination, using this show just to promote herself!

I will have to jump out the window like Nader...

However I'll be watching every episode you can count on that!

brandi, dawn and heather look the best but none of them are striking. they will probably be going the "swim suit model" route because none of them have "high fashion model" looks.

**ADMIN EDIT**

NO weight discussion! Besides the fact that your comment was so incrediably uncalled for!
