And frankly I find the term Caucasian ludicrous and I would hope anyone who knows the etymology of the word would too. The only true Caucasians are those from the Caucasus (Armenians, Azerbaijanis, Georgians), which is incidentally the geographically accepted definition of Eurasia.

Galviggo I don't see why it would be baffling as to why a person would define themself by their continental origin. Having a high-bridged nose or tall build does not equate to being 'Caucasian'. I hope you don't believe that as no physical traits are exclusive to any ethnic group.
I duno how it is like in the uk but in north america you are either asian, white, brown or black. Asian refers specifically to oriental looking people such as chinese japanese and koreans. Brown people are indians and persians etc. White and black are obvious.

You cant deny though, that non-oriental asian asians look more caucasian than oriental asian people. Some oriental asian people dont have high nose bridge, they dont have double eyelids, they dont have curly or textured hair. Caucasian people almost always have double eyelids, do have higher nose bridges, do have more facial depth, are generally taller and larger in build, etc. These traits while they may not be classified 'caucasian', they can certainly be classified as 'not very typical asian features' and hense the short people say is 'caucaisan' features because those are traits that they do posses much mroe generally.

Now I read that in the upper northern part of china, you can start finding people with blondish hair and some with natural green and blue eyes. That however may be the result of generations of mixing with caucasians and asian people (bordering russia and neighboring arab coutnries). In fact it is used to believe that there are three major types of people, caucasiod, mongoloid and negroid types. There are a lot of sub groups within each group but those are the main groups.

Seems I've landed in the "we have the right to define what asia is" thread..

Everybody lets get this back on to the topic of Eurasian models, not about what you "define" as Asian. This is a thread about the models, not about the race and ethnicity's.

thank you

i'm really not sure about this one that i'm gonna post.
She used to be a very promising model from Brazil. She did many shows of
Morumbi Fashion. But after career ended, i think she went downhill really.
She is now going to pose naked....
Well i think she really seems eurasian, her eyes and everything But i'm not sure because she is blond and has blue eyes.
Anyone knows if Saba is an asian last name? I thought it could be japanese...

Well her name is Fabiana Saba and i only found sexy pics of her...there's no serious editorial from the time she was a runway model in the internet.
It's such a pitty that i thrown away all my old magazines.

from her time as a model:

interesting article in times on "the invasion of eurasian models" and why they are so marketable.. heres a quote:

Fashionistas love the new Eurasian world. Top Asian modeling agencies can't stock enough mixed-blooded girls, and many have begun scouting for Eurasian models in Europe and the U.S. to bring back East. One of the top imports is 20-year-old Maggie Q, a Vietnamese-American who grew up in Hawaii. "When you look at Maggie, you see the whole world in her face," says film executive Logan, who cast her in the hit flick Gen-Y Cops. "She sells because she appeals to everyone." The publisher of Indonesia's top-selling women's magazine, Femina, says a cover with an indo on it sells two to three times more copies than one with a purely local model. "Indonesian women see these girls as exotic but not exactly threatening," says Widarti Goenawan, publisher of the popular weekly. "It is an ideal to which they can aspire." Certainly, an approachable exoticism fuels many Eurasian models' careers. Devon Aoki, a half-Japanese and half-American concoction, has captivated London and New York catwalks with her woodblock-print features and long limbs. In Hong Kong, Ankie Lau, a half-German and half-Chinese model, wins clients because her Eastern features mix with a Western spontaneity. "The ability of Eurasian models to let go in front of the camera is very appealing to advertisers," says Elite Model's Paul Lau. "Asians tend to be more nervous expressing their emotions."

Actually, East Asians (Chinese, Japanese, Koreans), while in most cases have smaller eyes than their other Asian counterparts, they generally have much higher nose bridges than South-East Asians.

Just another thing , if people here are going to raise their eyebrows everytime someone mentions that Arabs from the Middle-East are Asian as well , well then the title is misguiding, since apparently Asia , to some people , is limited to South-Asia .
