Does anyone know if the Marc by Marc store is having a sale?

I heard something about a California store having their seasonal 70% shoe sale but that may just be Marc Jacobs not Marc by Marc J.

For me, the question is...is anyone actually shopping in Chicago since the sales tax increase? I know that I'm trying to buy stuff online to avoid it...

Unfortunately... I was thinking of buying a new handbag soon, but that was one of the things that was making me nervous. Do you think it's a better idea to check it out in person then order online rather than just buying at at a department store because of sales tax?

Yes. It was essentially a bad decision to purchase my MacBook Pro in Chicago. The tax was incredibly heartbreaking, esp. considering how much a MacBook costs by itself.
I also recently bought some Uggs from the store downtown and I definitely should've purchased those online as well. Waaaah.


And I would definitely check it out in person first, then order online if you'd rather not have to pay the sales tax. I mean, depending what you're wanting and where you look - you may actually find the bag on sale, and in that case... buying it there on the spot may be the better decision.

That's pretty much what I've been doing plus...shopping around online...I've noticed that prices vary quite a bit between sites. If you're lucky you can find it for less...or find a coupon for the online boutique.

I'm not shopping here anymore either, but it makes me a bit nervous to do too much shopping online with how bad the postal service is and how difficult it is to get a UPS package in my building as well..hmm..I'm going shopping in Minneapolis

We are finally getting a Zara guys

They are opening one soon at Old Orchard Mall. Not sure of the exact date, I just know sometime Fall 2008.

They will also be opening one later at Chicago Place at 700 N. Michigan Ave but there is no set date yet...
