Yes. It was essentially a bad decision to purchase my MacBook Pro in Chicago. The tax was incredibly heartbreaking, esp. considering how much a MacBook costs by itself.
I also recently bought some Uggs from the store downtown and I definitely should've purchased those online as well. Waaaah.
And I would definitely check it out in person first, then order online if you'd rather not have to pay the sales tax. I mean, depending what you're wanting and where you look - you may actually find the bag on sale, and in that case... buying it there on the spot may be the better decision.
