Softie, what are the bags and prices like at this "blue bag" place? I always like to hear of a new handbag store.

very mixed prices...i'd say $100-$300 range...but that's a very rough estimate...definitely worth checking out...very different and unique pieces...also have a select number of shoes and swimwear in summer...

A-crosby st btw houston/prince-nolita
Bagutta-mercer? btw prince/spring?...soho

Bagutta (50% off) is now next to the Helmut Lang store (green, spring/broom)
A (30% off).
Jeffrey is 30-40% off, depending on how well they do before the sales start.

vintage in ny is not cheap in general my dear...that's why i rarely bother...
what goes around comes around is the most expensive...it's real vintage from the 20's...etc...more like costume than clothing...cheap jack's is about average...
and the selection is great...alice underground ...on lower bdwy just up the street from pearl river is another good bet...

also check out st mark's place (another name for e.8 street)...vintage/sex shop-search and destroy...trash and vaudeville-punk paraphenalia...plus various t-shirt/accessory stores...

I guess I might just thrown in INA, a designer consignment store. The men's store is in Nolita (I don't remember if it's on Mott or Mulberry, just below Houston).

How is the men's store? I know the womens store gets some good stuff, but I've never heard anything about the men's selection.
