what about apc and agnes b? ...aren't their prices lower in paris because they are french companies?...i can usually find something in there...men's and womens...basic but usually great...

Don't like Agnes B at all. Fit is very bad, not good quality either. APC on the other hand I do like. Actually, now that you've reminded me, I will be looking at thier stuff when I'm there too. I saw a really nice green jacket of thiers from this winter's collection. It's quite good price wise, and I think the quality is v good. I have c couple of zip up sweats from them and a grey herringbone raincoat.

It's funny that you think of the JW jumoer as a basic. I wouldn'#t think of it like that, although it is quite basic, perhaps to justify the price.

thx chick...i love how you jump in with the answer...

agnes b is lower priced...so it stands to reason that the quality is somewhat lower...but i've been happy with everything i've bought...and the fit is fantastic for me...my ex became addicted as well because the shirts are all narrow and fitted which was great on his narrow frame...he's asian...

you must be built differently... you strapping scottish lad...!!! :P

softgrey - its has been said that johnny is a bit of a label snob! He needs treatment - its an ailment he has - poor soul! He used to be normal.... He bought an agnes b sloppy-joe once! He used to buy jumpers from reiss (in fact one of his faves was from reiss). Further back, he even had a jumper from FCUK - aaah! Then one day after a trip to CDG he got sick....

Runner that's a good tip thanks. I think I know the guy you mean. Are the shoes kind of "battered" with slightly upturned toes? Also I think I tried one of his jackets on when I was there in spring. The sales assistant was sort of pushing me towards it becasue he didn't like the spring Hp range. It was a lovely coral linen jacket, prewashed, with quite a high fastening and cut away at the bottom. I don't know if it's the same guy because I can't remember the name but does this sound like it? It was a beautiful jacket, but, as I recall, even more expensive that homme +!

I'm sure that is it. I also tried on the coral linen jkt.
indeed, it's a bit expensive here than Homme plus. but Homme plus is much more expensive over there. (as far as I know, just at double the price in A/W 94) so they would sell at a close range of prices?

although his shoes are not as battered as these shoes, I think they resemble each other.
BTW he used to work at John Lobb.

I can't remember the price of the Hardnen jacket. Homme Plus is much more expensive in Europe/US than in Japan though. If I ever get to Tokyo I will go mad in the comme shop cos it will be like sale time over here. I think it's about 30-40% cheaper in Japan.

Did you buy the jacket?

Also, have you seen the winter H+ collection? Any tips from that?

yes, I like its fulled (right term? or boiled) jacket.
it always goes from CDG in A/W, but I think it's very well done this season.
did you see the sarrouel pants? what do you think about them?
I like them a lot. they are very difficult for me to wear though.

I did not buy the coral one.
this is what I bought.

Runner - that is a beautiful jacket. I wonder if Leclairuer will have any left in the sale. Do you mind telling me how much it cost (I'll understand if you don't )

I saw the boiled wool jackets from homme plus - I liked a lot. I was at a preview of the new London shop a few weeks ago, while it was still being built, adn tried one on. Very nice. I don't like the funny drop crotch pants though - they are too much!

thanks helena, Johnny

how about Casey Vidalenc Johnny? I guess you will like it. although I don't know who carries the stuff in Paris, it's a French label. in Marseilles there is a shop the designer duo run.
156000 (maybe) yen for the jkt.

Was it Mugler or Montana who had the depression?

His label still produces clothes though. Thierry Mugler Homme I believe.

...omg helena...that is tooo funny...i happen to like reiss as well...especially for men... good basics...

i guess our equivalent would be banana republic...and my ex had the same illness... except i believe he caught the bug either at yohji or paul smith...

funny thing...after a styling job i had a nice dk grey s/s t-shirt leftover which i gave to him (banana republic)...he politely thanked me and promptly put it in the very back of his wardrobe...then on a deserately hot day with nothing else to wear he reluctantly put it on....people were complimenting him on it all night...it was just a basic T...but the cut and the fabric were just right...

he still never stepped foot in banana himself , but he more readily accepted my offerings after that...

johnny...you know that makes you a fashion victim, right?!?!....

and i'm imagining that you are actually taller-not wider...
he is 5'9"...with a 31"wst...that's pretty small...
