^ Galleries Lafayette really isnt that good imo Printemps & Colette are far better. Theres loads of vintage shops I went to which are the best in Paris (Scarlett on Avenue Montaigne and Griff'troc on boulevard de Courcelles.) There was also great place on the rue de la Verrerie that sells discounted Alaia. I stayed in hotel on Avenue de l'Opéra at it was near both Galleries & Printemps, and everything else was easy to get to.
Really, a hotel anywhere in central Paris is fine - the transportation system (ie: metro, buses, trains, taxis) is so prevalent and widely used that is poses no problem to travel all around Paris, regardless of where your hotel is located. I've stayed in the 5th, 6th, 13th and 16th arrondisements with relatively little problems. If we're planning on doing a TON of shopping daily and numerous bags might pose a problem, then a hotel in the innermost arrondisements is probably best.

Wow, I love this! But I can only make it in June or December And yes, I WANT to go back to Paris!
