Our forums are always flooded with womenswear fashion titles, so it’s refreshing for us to witness a menswear magazine take center stage. VMAN‘s Spring/Summer 2015 cover dropped midweek and the team behind the shoot knocked it out of the park. American actor Adam Driver was snapped by Dutch photographic duo Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for the occasion, creating some intriguing images, resulting in our forum members declaring the collaboration a match made in heaven. Styled by Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele, Adam sports a Louis Vuitton tuxedo in the black and white portrait cover image.
Members of our forums were more than content with the results. “Ahhh I love it!! I love him. And the masthead looks gorge!” raved MON.
“He’s so not conventionally sexy and that’s why I love this. I&V and him are a perfect match,” TREVOFASHIONISTO applauded.
Quick to share his opinion was TeeVanity: “This is amazing, love it!”
“I think these are by far the best collection of photos he’s ever taken. I don’t personally find him attractive, but who cares? The photos are great, they convey his character and they’re interesting to look at. Strong work from all involved,” added KINGofVERSAILLES, sharing the same sentiments.
Wolkfolk also showed gratitude toward the shoot. “He has such a captivating yet unconventional beauty. Really cool spread,” he commented.
We’re lucky that Adam’s cover story was kindly posted inside the thread. “This is fantastic. Adam’s the real life definition of ugly-hot and his face is so expressive. Amazing editorial, although maybe some of those photos could’ve worked as a better cover,” noted mistress_f.
