Band of Outsiders Fall 2011 Runway Review

Next fall is a time to layer, according to the Band of Outsiders collection. Thick knit sweaters, fur scarves, skirts worn over leggings, and fur beanies showed off the ragged, yet stylish, feel of the collection. This is a girl who wants to stay warm next winter and is not afraid to mix her accessories. It’s a younger, hipper version of what young socialites should be wearing in Aspen. Casual, slouchy blouses and slim sweatpants worn with glamorous, floor length fur overcoats exuded just the right amount of refinement.

Cool, plaid pants, tailored jackets, stretchy pencil skirts and white button-up shirts were worn together for a look that’s laid back with plenty of polish. Accessories, including a hiking boot in black patent leather and oversized scarf with fringe, completed this tailored take on the grunge look.

A cream color soft suit with blue tailored shirt showed a dressier side of the collection without losing focus. Overall, the collection offers plenty of cozy and stylish options to curl up in next winter.
