JILL STUART F/W 2010

Within the collection there was somewhat of a dichotomy between pieces that took on a military-feel via heavy, loose fitting trench coats, white brimmed belts, over-the-knee boots, and hats – all of which were menswear-inspired and super-fitted, body conscious minis.

Though the styling could have done without the over-the-knee booths and at times excessive layering, there were a lot of staple as well as statement pieces to choose from. The designer stuck with a dark color palette for most every look with the exception of some pops of ivory (notably in a wonderfully sumptuous, over-sized knit scarf), and red for two outerwear pieces.
