Only The Brave, the parent company owned and run by Renzo Rosso the founder of Italian denim label Diesel, has acquired a majority stake in the Dutch designer label Viktor & Rolf.

Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, the two designers behind Viktor & Rolf, started their eponymous label in 1992 and in 1996 collaborated with H&M for a well-received capsule collection. However, despite their success the brand lacked the financial power to, as Horsting has said, “fulfill its potential.” Snoeren has said that the design duo felt that they needed a strong partner to grow the business, saying that “fashion has changed so much that in order to achieve those dreams you need a good partner.”
