If Looks Could Kill: Cinema's Images of Fashion, Crime and Violence

The clever people of the Fashion in Film Festival have honestly faced up to the fact that films about fashion are rather bad but the number of films utilizing fashion in some way or another are numerous and of a far better quality. Using this theme, the Festival picked up on the white gloves left at crime scenes, a slick tube of red lippie, a sharp suit and other modes of disguise—they’ve given us a selection of hard to find films.
 
 
The FFF will use four London venues; BFI Southbank, Ciné lumière, Institute of Contemporary Arts, Tate Modern and The Horse Hospital. They have also roped in talks and introductions from designers, critics and historians including the likes of Bella Freud and Dylan Jones (GQ editor). The program is even more packed than last time so bye-bye Great British Menu and hello pre-cinema quickie dinners...
