For the upcoming couture fashion week, Rosemary Rodriguez, the current Creative Director of Thierry Mugler, will present 21 looks based on his previous work.

Thierry Mugler is most famous for his severe cuttings and extreme silhouettes. His collections included garments filled with Wasp-like waists, shoulder pads and exaggerated collars, in his signature style .  Heavily influenced by the insect kingdom and the outside world, Mugler often creates over-theatrical pieces that end up being unwearable, forcing the house to close its couture division in 2003.

More recently, there have been rumours speculating that Mugler might make a comeback. He was quoted as saying that he was working on a ‘capsule couture collection’ and an exhibition has also been planned.

The couture fashion week starts 30 June.
