CYNTHIA STEFFE SPRING 2009
The urban girl indulges her country club fantasy in the Shaun Kearney-designed Cynthia Steffe Spring 2009 collection. Amidst a mostly neutral color palette, ruffles, bows, rushing, graphic patterning, and pops of colors (indigo, pool, leaf, geranium), made for a fun, flirty collection that stuck to be being relatively casual.

That said, there were a handful of gowns including a delicately chic white tiered chiffon one that was paired with a skinny black belt to create a cinched waist (which based on the Marc Jacobs collection which featured nothing but cinched waists, is likely to emerge as a trend come Spring).

Though they were somewhat reminiscent of Catherine Malandrino the strongest looks had beautiful floral cut-out motifs and there were wonderful floral silk tops and dresses and as seems to be the trend once again this season, mini-dresses with pockets.
