This past Saturday, July 19th, Shecky’s held their popular shopping and drinking event – Shecky’s Girl’s Day Out, at the Southampton Historical Museum (a portion of the event’s proceeds went to the East End museum).

Shecky’s shopping, beauty, and nightlife events are held throughout the year and in various cities (most of the events take place in the late afternoon/evening and are called Girl’s Night Out). Saturday’s event is the first in a series of two to be held this summer in the Hamptons (the other will take place on August 30th).

The events are a fun way to shop emerging designer wares at discount prices while throwing back some cocktails which are free with admission. There is also a goody bag which you can purchase for $30 filled with swag from the event sponsors (which include Dove, Bailey’s, X Rated, Conair, Borba, Chambord, and Glowelle).

There were over 50 vendors at the event and one designer line that immediately caught my eye was EMc2, which is the line from Project Runway season 2 cast-off, Emmett Mccarthy. Mccarthy also runs his own boutique in Manhattan and I was impressed by his wears (though they seem very reminiscent of Alice + Olivia).
