Gorgeous cut outs, color blocking, and sultry fabrications showed off a soft contrast at Vena Cava’s Spring/Summer 2011 runway show. The color palette included soft nudes, greys, navy blue, and pops of red. The designs were incredibly wearable in this collection, with plenty of understated design twists.
Loads of silk fabrics in charmeuse and chiffon were draped into sexy summer dresses, shorts and sleek trousers that looked perfectly comfortable for day. A sensible, pretty collection with a sophisticated style has shown how much these two designers have grown from their first show.
Their arty aesthetic – as demonstrated on the runway, which was literally decorated with contemporary sculptures echoing the collection’s poppy red, cream, and navy blue hues – combined with an easy-breezy sensibility, makes for consistently wearable, pretty clothes.
