Bensoni S/S 2011

A staple brand for young women looking for fun and flirty yet sophisticated looks, a number of covetable pieces will surely make their way onto the racks of Barneys Co-Op, and into the shopping bags of Olivia Palermo.

The collection offers a balance between mild and edgy: muted tones and soft prints on one side, and bold cuts and popping bright colors (think highlighter) on the other.

Surprisingly, there weren’t many options of the cocktail nature, which is what I usually associate the brand with.

A sheer bright blouse paired with a sheer-paneled, red textural skirt, a white blazer with a pointy undulating lapel, and a knotted striped top all made for vibrant and interesting looks.

As for the cocktail numbers, a bright pleated dress, an ivory, lightly-ruffled collar dress, and a black-and-white shift all stood out in this collection, which offered plenty of looks for a city girl to lust over (especially a slouchy, maxi length striped dress), despite not being the most cohesive.
