Mark Fast S/S 2011: London Fashion Week

His unique style of knitwear has captivated runway show audiences, and his capsule collections for Topshop and the lower priced line, Faster, have garnered him great success with the public.

This season, in his first stand-alone show, Fast showed to a packed house, where the front row included the likes of Carine Roitfeld, Anna Dello Russo, and Kate Lanphear.

He was inspired by a post-apocalyptic utopia where acid rain wreaked destruction.

Adding neon colors and strategically placed panels of PVC to his fan-favorite dresses, the designer took his staple designs to the next level, with longer lengths for evening or swimwear.

Influences of his secondary lines showed through, with leggings and crop tops making their way onto the runway with the custom platform Louboutins.

The absolute standout moment of the show was the final look.

A music and lighting change helped to highlight the designer’s first foray into bona fide eveningwear, and we can bet that models, actresses, and maybe even eccentric brides will be clamoring to wear these looks.
