Jacquelyn Jablonski, Model Profile

Born in 1992 in New Jersey, model of the moment Jacquelyn Jablonski’s first foray into modeling was at age 15, when a model scout approached her in the café where she worked. Her interest in modeling was immediately sparked, and Jablonski took a day off of school to go to New York, and visit agencies with her mother.

After dropping off images to a number of agencies, she quickly received a call from Ford, who was eager to sign the young beauty. She admits that breaking into the modeling world took time because, unlike many other young models today, Jablonski made the decision to stay in school. It was a risk for a fresh face, but it paid off.

Jablonski made her runway debut for Brian Reyes in September of 2007. Bookings were slow while she finished school, but after a few seasons she returned with a vengeance. She was a finalist in the 2008 International Ford Supermodel of the World contest, and in 2009 she worked for Prozena Schouler, Italian ELLE, and landed a coveted Calvin Klein campaign.

She was propelled into international stardom the following season when she walked 58 shows, including Prada, Lanvin, and YSL, while also being on the Top Ten Newcomers list by style.com.

In January 2010, she walked at the Paris couture shows for Valentino, Dior, and Chanel couture, a major landmark in the career of a young model.

She was famously pitted against model Crystal Renn in the V Magazine editorial “One Size Fits All”, where she and Renn wore identical looks, despite the difference in their figures.

Despite her success, she hasn’t forgotten her values. She has a strict modesty policy, and generally doesn’t undress in the center of a room full of people.

The newcomer has since landed editorials for magazines such as W and Vogue, as well as a campaign for Celine (among others), all while dominating the international runway circuit.
