Narcisco Rodriguez Fall 2011 Runway Review

Narcisco Rodriguez is known for his sleek, minimalistic designs and judging from his Fall 2011 collection there is a good reason why. The pieces had a very architectural feel using geometric lines and slight color blocking in the overcoats and dresses. Pebble color trousers were worn with oversized overcoats with bold lines and occasionally small amounts of fur trim. The look was elegant but not overdone.

Dresses were layered in sheer fabrications and had the occasional cutout or graphic detail. Body skimming versions were done in various colors and prints including a painted, graffiti style print. The silhouettes themselves were sexy without being too revealing. Rodriguez mixed fabrications on simple silhouettes to create designs on the garment.

The looks were menswear inspired and included outwear with exceptional tailoring. A collection filled with sleek, modern designs showed off what Rodriquez does best.
