Sass & Bide Fall 2011 Runway Review

A colorful collection that will have you wishing you lived in Australia during Fall 2011, Sass & Bide was a frenzy of vibrant colors and strong prints. There was a wordly feel to the collection that made you think this customer is going to exotic places in these pieces. Floor length wrap skirts in tribal prints, turban inspired head pieces, and geometric patterns paired together were fit for a lady set to travel in warm weather.

Layering and pairing opposing prints were key along with pops of color. Beige and nude prints were highlighted by poppy red shoes and tangerine accessories. Most of the pieces were lightweight and drapey with a loose fit. A few of the more fitted styles, including a large sequin mini dress and strapless bustier with sequin skirt, showed off the sexier side of the collection.

The pieces were vivid and cheerful, not typical of the darker colors we usually see during the winter. There was a natural ease and coolness factor to the collection but these probably aren’t clothes you would wear in a climate that drops below 70 degrees during Fall.
