Jonathan Saunders Fall 2011 Runway Review

Jonathan Saunders created a collection including clean lines and sophisticated looks for Fall 2011. Pencil skirts with cinched waists and feminine blouses and sweaters created the perfect background for the abstract floral and geometric print designs. Saunders paired unexpected shades of French blue, poppy red, black and olive green effortlessly together.

Sheath dresses with side slits and skinny column skirts added a little sex appeal to the strict lines of the collection. Silhouettes were fitted but still lady like and didn’t expose much skin. Colors ranged from deep burgundy, olive and charcoal grey to brighter shades of red, blue and olive green. Prints were used creatively in places that framed the body and added to the design of the simple styles.

A bit modern with a slight reference to the 1930s, it was a colorful collection that was very wearable and flattering.
