5 Fashion Apps to Download Now

Nowadays, you can pretty much find an app for anything…and I mean ANYTHING. Want to know how good you are in bed? Well, there’s an app for that. Need to get out of a bad date or just want to stalk the crap out of a potential new date? Yep, there are apps for that too. You can even pop fake pimples, smoke fake cigs, and drink fake beers with your phone.

There are also a slew of fashion and shopping apps available at your fingertips, so much so that it is hard to know which ones are worth downloading, much less taking up precious space on your phone. Luckily, we’ve done all the dirty work for you. Check out these five fabulous fashion apps that  won’t make you want to trade in your iPhone for a Blackberry. Strike a pose and start downloading!

1. Pose 2.0

A social network for the fashion minded, Pose’s new platform allows you to create your own profile, follow friends and “posers” as they shop in real-time, “love” items and check out what products are currently trending. Even better, you can track the latest releases from top brands and retailers like Aerie, Levi’s, and DKNY and learn about in-store promotions as they happen. Want to share your own fabulous style finds? Sure, you can do that too. Just snap a photo, type in the price, brand, and store info and voilà, instantaneously share it with your friends on Pose, Facebook, AND Twitter! Because, c’mon, who doesn’t want to be their own stylist? And the great news is, it’s free to download for your iOS from the iTunes App Store!

2. Snapette

Love bags and shoes? Then this fun new fashion app will definitely trigger the shopaholic in you. Similar to Pose, Snapette is a social discovery app that allows users to see what items are “hot” or “trending” and to upload, “like” and share great shopping finds from around the world with a network of friends and other stylish women just like them. However, unlike Pose, Snapette users can comment on photos (i.e. tell their girlfriends if those shoes really kick ass or not) and browse covetable items in nearby stores based on their current location—the only fashion app to actually do this! And guess what? It’s free too! The only bummer is you’ll have to wait a few weeks to download it (beta will be available July 21 for all iOS devices, with a full launch at the end of the month). So if you want to be one of the first to try it out, head on over to snapette.com and get your stylish booty on the list now.

3. The Outnet StyleCred

Now you can shop your fave discount designer styles and create and share looks with friends, all from your cell. Pretty cool, huh? Launched just last month, StyleCred comes only seven months after the launch of The Outnet‘s popular mobile-enabled website, which allows customers the opportunity to purchase designer duds directly from their phone, anywhere in the world. An added bonus of the app? You’ll earn $30 store credit every time you bring a new friend to shop at TheOutnet. StyleCred is free to download and available for your iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices.

4. Stylebook

Sure, there are a lot of free apps out there that promise to help you manage your wardrobe, but in our opinion, none are as chic and easy to use as this one. Simply snap shots of your gear (or grab images from the web as style inspiration), upload them and then remove the background and group them into your own custom categories. Mix and match to create new looks or effortlessly track what you’ve already worn and when you wore it to ensure no Facebook photo of you ever looks the same. Even plan outfits weeks in advance should the urge so strike you. Available for all iOS devices, Stylebook may not be free of charge, but it’s definitely worth the meager $3.99 price tag.

5. ShopStyle

Ah, the little fashion search engine that could (find anything) is now available on your phone! Yep, that’s right—browse the latest fashions by category or use the advanced search filter to find exactly what you’re looking for. Need a little black dress or a pair of size 8 platform pumps? Just whip out your celly, open up the ShopStyle app, and discover a plethora of options right in your palm. Mark your favorites with a heart, or go ahead and hit up the $ button to find out when a particular item you’ve been eyeing (or brand/category) goes on sale. Free to download, the ShopStyle app is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
