Scarlett Johansson, Hayden Panettiere, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Olivia Palermo are now all officially shoe designers thanks to Stuart Weitzman's Young Hollywood Cares Collection. The designer enlisted the celebs to co-design unique styles in the hopes of raising money for ovarian cancer research with proceeds benefiting the Folkman Institute in Boston. The shoes just went on sale at StuartWeitzman.com as well as at the designer’s New York City, Beverly Hills and Chicago boutiques.

Olivia was the first of the group to debut the celebrity-designed footwear when she attended The Smurfs world premiere in New York City in late July. Her creation, appropriately dubbed “The Olivia” is an ankle strap sandal with a 4-inch heel trimmed in fuchsia feathers which retails for $425. Olivia paired her new sandals with a neutral off-the-shoulder blouse and an ivory flared maxi by Elizabeth and James.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl alum, Michelle also took her design out for a spin recently at the 10th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree. “The Michelle” platform pumps in sea crystal snake feature metal stud detailing down the back of the heel. For the InStyle event earlier this month, Michelle combined her $425 pumps with a hot pink, single-breasted Rebecca Minkoff Becky jacket, black pants and quilted Chanel bag.

Scarlett’s tailored oxford platform is also priced at $425 and is perhaps the biggest surprise with the exception of its red patent hue. The cut-out accents and burgundy cord lace up make this design stand out. Scarlett tends to play it safe in the shoe department, though, usually opting for more neutral heels like the nude Jimmy Choos she wore with this Valentino frock to Spike TV’s 5th Annual Guys Choice Awards back in June. “The Scarlett” hasn’t been spotted out in Hollywood so far, not even on the feet of its co-creator.

The most expensive of the four designs is “The Hayden.” It’s actually a black suede platform ankle boot with graphite ornament detail costing $550. Hayden hasn’t shown off her version on the red carpet yet, either. She could have used her edgy boot to complement this red-orange Zac Posen bold shoulder draped dress in April at the Scream 4 premiere in Hollywood instead of those black Brian Atwood Maniac pumps. Even her Alleta clutch by Judith Leiber would have been well-suited to her own creation.
Hayden will be appearing along with Michelle on September 8 at Stuart Weitzman’s Madison Avenue location in New York City to unveil the collection during Fashion’s Night Out. It will be interesting to see the kind of reception the star shoes receive. Not to mention, which celeb’s creation sells the most pairs.
