The Duchess of Cambridge is the best thing to ever happen to Issa’s Daniella Issa Helayel. Those hoping to get a glimpse of the Duchess or her stylish sister front row were sadly disappointed but that didn’t stop Issa from reminding us that while the temperature is dropping, a new spring is just around the corner. Flirty pineapple prints and splashes of mint and coral made this collection wonderfully resort appropriate. There’s no doubt that the Duchess will be picking up some of the brand’s classically cut dresses and prim and proper looking jackets but for the most part the show was filled with flouncy beachwear. The designer noted that she was returning to her Rio de Janeiro roots and it was evident in the sequin, feather, and fringe adorned looks.Beyond the Duchess’ obvious fascination with the brand, another Brit-girl has taken interest in the brand. Camilla Al Fayed, daughter of the former owner of Harrods Mohammad Al Fayed, purchased a majority stake in the company just last summer. It’s clear that Issa London is here to stay as social girls and prim ladies alike have taken a liking to the brand’s simple day wear.
