COLE MOHR, MODEL PROFILE

By Regina Libian a.k.a. Inaya

It’s not often that a model comes along and shakes up the industry with an undeniable presence that is hard to turn away from, someone who is outside of the norm in an industry that tends all too often to be regimented.  It’s even rarer when that model happens to be of the male variety.

Cole Mohr is the 22-year-old Houston-born bad boy who has rattled the predominantly cookie cutter world of male modeling. He’s not tan, he’s not full of bulky muscles and he’s certainly not a blank canvas, which certainly makes him stand out amongst his peers.

He is pale, loaded with tattoos and has a head of hair which will change color at the blink of an eye. He is everything the industry has been missing.

Cole kicked off his career by becoming a muse to Hedi Slimane, who is no stranger himself to shaking up the scene. In 2006, he was featured in an ad campaign for Dior Homme and was photographed by Slimane for his own personal archives. By the time 2007 had rolled around, Cole was the opening model of Dior Homme’s fall collection and his career has absolutely skyrocketed ever since.

Last year alone, he landed huge editorials in high profile magazines such as V, Numero Homme and Vogue Japan, to name a few. The ad campaigns didn’t stop with Dior Homme, either, as he was also the face of Alexander Wang and most notably, H&M. On the runways he fast became a hit, walking for some of the most well known designers out there and even opening or closing some of the shows.

Currently, you can find a multitude of his editorial work in recent issues such magazines as Dansk, Arena Homme, V, Vogue Homme and more. It’s safe to say Cole isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and we can’t wait to see what he will get up to next.
