Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2012 Runway Review

Sophisticated, but approachable, this season’s Diane von Furstenberg collection, designed by von Furstenberg and creative director Yvan Mispelaere, had a balanced mix of fitted and loosely draped silhouettes. Similarly quirky prints were shown alongside classic monochrome staples making for a slew of glam looks that boasted a relaxing ease.

Though there weren’t as many prints as one may have expected, the ones that did make their way out were strikingly memorable, notably a black and white handprint on a form fitting dress (think Schiaparelli). Colors were bold this season with a slew of deep shades, especially on the draped eveningwear looks that closed out the show.
