Tory Burch Fall 2012 Runway Review

Given that she’s supposedly upset with ex-husband Chris Burch’s latest venture, one has to wonder whether Tory Burch pulled from her real life for her Fall 2012 collection inspired by the good girl who falls for the bad guy. How does such a woman dress? True to Burch’s polished style, she opts for prim, but fitted silhouettes (think below-the-knee dresses and skirts) and proper detailings (think bows, rosettes, embellished collars) mixed alongside more daring ones (think lace, gold metallic, tightly belted waists).

The overall effect, however, remained true to the designer’s conservatively chic tendencies — opaque tights made multiple appearances — and it will be hard to resist many of her daytime sequin looks (especially fitting given that Burch showed on Valentine’s Day!). As for bags, they were mostly structured and featured a variety of embellishments and motifs.
