Proenza Schouler Fall 2012 Runway Review

Impeccably proportioned, cut, and textured, this season’s beautifully styled Proenza Schouler collection was one of Fall 2012’s best. Inspired by the idea of protection, which translated most notably with oversized and somewhat boxy cuts, there were also subtle Asian influences throughout (notably karate and Geisha wears). Wearable without ever being boring, there were many standout looks, notably the paneled white and ivory outerwear (no doubt that their oversized bomber jackets will be a Fall 2012 must-have), loosely draped pleated trousers, and a rusty color-blocked long-sleeve dress.

As for the bags? Spotted and mohawked fur clutches rounded out the truly chic, original collection.
