Mulberry Fall 2012 Runway Review

Inspired by Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are, the collection was a story of texture. Mongolian furs were shown alongside rustic tweed and tie-dyed suede. With a rich mixture of autumnal shades, Creative Director Emma Hill unsurprisingly told a story strong in outerwear. The flushed English rose beauty look worked perfectly with the well-cut furs and wearable, girlish dresses. It can be difficult for heritage brands to connect with younger women, but with Mulberry, Hill has managed to cover all the bases. Modern heritage isn’t something you hear very often but it perfectly describes Hill’s cohesive fall offering.
