At this point, cowboy hats may as well join oversized pearls, bows, and witty statement prints as a Moschino signature. Fittingly, a parade of them made their way down the runway in the Rossella Jardini-designed Fall 2012 Moschino collection. Cowboy hats, belt bags (for storing money, not guns), and a few riding pants aside, however, the Wild West didn’t exert its influence all that much. Instead there was a mix of quilted and ruffled party dresses, skirt suits in a variety of prints, and military-inspired epaulettes on monochrome coats, all of which came in Moschino’s signature rainbow of colors. Among the most memorable looks were two fantastic capes, one of which could easily be worn as a dress.
Moschino might never be the most streamlined or cohesive, but they're always the most fun.
