Missoni Fall 2012 Runway Review

Missoni will always have great knits and fantastic patterns, but these last few seasons the styling has been so over-the-top (think too many contrasting proportions, too many clashing patterns, and way too much layering) that it was hard to appreciate some of those great pieces. Fall 2012, however, not only reigned in the attempts at "edgy" styling, but silhouettes were streamlined. The result was a collection that was less bohemian than what one might have expected and more wearable despite the parade of head-to-toe colors and prints.

Among the standouts in the Angela Missoni-designed collection were fitted criss cross shrugs, which struck as innovative in design though questionably comfortable to wear, gray patterned trousers, and leather back paneled dresses.
