Vanessa Bruno Fall 2012 Runway Review

A go-to for Parisian cool girls, Vanessa Bruno has been making a wave stateside since opening her first boutique in Los Angeles in late 2010. For Fall 2012, she stuck to her aesthetic guns with a collection of chic closet staples. Predominantly done in solid, lace, and sheer-accented black, the lineup also included blue, green, and aubergine jewel-toned metallics fashioned into trousers, dresses, and tops for more statement-making alternatives.

True to the designer’s style, embellishments were kept to a minimum with the focus on fabrics – notably patent leather, silk, and sheer fabrics for detailing– and, with the exception of some fuller skirts, silhouetted were tailored.
