H&M Launches Eco-Friendly Fashion Line

The name of the line is attributed to H&M’s continuous and conscious effort to create a more sustainable future for fashion in working towards lessening fashion’s impact on the environment. In addition to H&M’s support in local communities and its humanitarian contributions, the launch of this collection is another big step in its goals to reduce our carbon footprint.

The collection consists of mainly white and beige neutrals, creating a romantic feel. Using laces and broderie anglaise for the women’s line, it is perfect for Spring and Summer. You’ll find blouses, mini dresses, tunics, tees, pants, shorts, jackets, and sun dresses — my personal favorite is the sleeveless plunging neck mini dress with scalloped hems. As for men, the style is a relaxed preppy look with clean tailoring. Another plus of the Conscious Collection is its affordability. Fashion minus the price tag. None of the items in the line exceed $50, as H&M’s business initiative has always been to “offer fashion and quality at the best price.”

Following the exact philosophy and aesthetic of the Conscious Collection, the Exclusive Conscious Collection has been additionally created for red carpet events. In fact, Hollywood stars are already wearing pieces from the collection. Amanda Seyfried wore the blue tuxedo blazer and shorts at her In Time premiere in London while Michelle Williams wore a custom-made look for the BAFTA awards. A top and skirt that are inspired by the look will be available once the Exclusive Conscious Collection officially launches.
