FEED, Fashion, and Music, a Match Made in Heaven: Closed Set with Julie Bensman

On Wednesday, May 30, Bush will spearhead The Clarins Million Meals Concert for FEED, a very chic evening of fashion, beauty, and live performances from the likes of John Legend and Natasha Bedingfield. The goal? “To raise at least one million school meals in one night for kids around the world,” says Bush. “FEED has never done a fundraiser on this scale before!”

The timing seems right, considering this year marks FEED’s 5th anniversary. No stranger to milestone birthdays (they celebrated 50 not too long ago), beauty empire Clarins is co-sponsoring the concert. “The Clarins and FEED partnership has been a natural fit,” says Bush. “Clarins has a long history of being very philanthropic, and the brand itself is so clean and beautiful. What woman doesn’t want great skincare and to help the world at the same time?”

In a shopping environment which continues to stress buying responsibly, FEED has long appealed to consumers who want to do (and look) good. Over the past five years, they’ve provided nearly 60 million school meals around the world, mostly in Africa and Haiti. Their next initiative, a vibrant locally handmade India collection, comes out this summer, with proceeds helping to give school meals to kids in India. Aside from her own brand, Bush loves what companies like TOMS, Ralph Lauren Pink Pony, and (Red) Products are doing.

As for her own style, she describes it as mostly classic. “I like clothes that are flattering and easy to wear.” No doubt, all eyes will be on her ensemble come May 30.

Xoxo,

Julie
