Nicole Miller Spring 2013 Runway Review

Dominating the lineup were saturated watercolor-like prints that worked best when they accented fitted dresses where they were tempered with black panels and streamlined silhouettes. Similarly, they worked well layered under loosely fitted motorcycle jackets, making for a number of tough-luxe looks. Peplums, already a trend that is tiring, recurred throughout her Spring 2013 lineup, but they were less structured than many of the ones we’ve been seeing these last few seasons.

Blazers with contrasting sleeves, neutral bermudas, paneled sheer blouses, and fluttering tops made for casual day-to-night pieces, while women looking for a more fashion forward look will have galaxy print dresses and separates to opt for.

Silhouette wise, aside from body-con minis and fluttering tops, Miller pushed skinny-skinny trousers and fitted pieces with long trains of chiffon in the back.
